30 August, 2013: What a special night in the old barn at CJAI 92.1FM for Cat’s Friday Night Radio Show. Two special guests, Jim Elyot and Rick Choma took over the controls for three hours to entertain the masses. They had not worked in the same control booth since the late 1980’s. A variety of music was played from the 80’s and we even had a request or two come through over the phone lines.
We had a lot of response via social media, which only makes me even more excited for another anticipated 1380 CKLC Reunion in May 2014!
Cathy just let the guys monopolize the mic although they did let Cathy squeak in there to make a special dedication to a couple of old childhood friends of mine who were tuned in from Alberta and British Columbia! [Click here to listen to the replay – Note that takes a moment to load]
22 August, 2013: If you represent a community-minded business or organization, then WE WANT TO WORK WITH YOU! We are all in this together. Here at Island Radio, numerous volunteers donate their time and energy in front of the microphone and behind the scenes to bring you quality programming each and every day. Dozens of listeners support CJAI and donate money on a regular basis in order to defray the basic operating costs of the radio station. What can community-minded businesses and organizations do to participate in this team-effort? That’s simple – you can advertise on Island Radio! Become one of Our Sponsors!
For $200 per year, your commercial will air at least once a day. If you do the math, $200 spread over 365 days is just 55 cents a day. We are sure you will agree that other radio stations have a very difficult time matching or beating this very low cost.
If you are interested in investing in your community by partnering with Island Radio, then please contact Larry Jensen (CJAI Advertising Rep) at firstname.lastname@example.org
