Be sure and tune into The Udder Morning Show this Monday, July 6th as Dayle & Susan will be interviewing live guests in the studio. At 8.a.m., Glenn Reid will be in and Glenn has been a performing singer/songwriter for over thirty years. His music & CDs have been, and are being played in over thirty-five countries around the world, with several staying on the European Country Music Association’s Top 100 Chart for 14 straight weeks. His song (and performance) of “Another Hank Williams Night reached #4 in Germany, #2 in Denmark, and #1 in Sweden. Glenn has taught private lessons for over twenty years & with several students going on to highly successful careers in the music industry. He has played venues of all types and sizes, from tiny clubs to huge arenas, as a solo act, as a member of duos and trios, and with full bands. Glenn is currently completing his 4th CD due this summer.
At 9:00 a.m. Kris and Dee will be joining Dayle & Susan and they are Kingston’s superfolk duo Kris Abbott and Dee McNeil. They have released their third full-length album in less than five years, “A Great Long Game”. It’s the much-anticipated follow-up disk to their 2013 release, Bloom, which was selected by CBC Music’s Mark Rheaume as a Top Pick for the year, and to their 2011 debut, Still Here Inside, chosen by Starbucks for its Worldwide Playlist. Drawing upon their folk, pop & rock roots as well as digital influences, Kris and Dee’s production concept for A Great Long Game is a pure extension of their creative process. The result is a dynamic, textured collection of songs that range from introspective & intimate to playful & rocking – each one was written, produced and performed solely by Kris and Dee. Kris and Dee are touring extensively across Ontaario this summer to support the release, including headlining stage performances at Ottawa’s Westfest & London’s Home County Music & Art Festival.
